Lepton Computing

Since 2007, Lepton Computing has been an original developer in the field of foldable / flexible display mobile devices with 2010 and 2011 patent filings that predate all of the largest smartphone companies’ patent filings for flexible display mobile device designs and their supporting technologies that are reflected in the market today.

Lepton's early patents were derived from several foldable / flexible touch screen display mobile device prototypes that it built from 2008 to 2011 which cover everything from the folded display radius aperture hinges, display state transition GUI, magnetic sensor display state control, multitask and folding content continuity software, to the form factors, display support structures, magnetic latching and flexible electronic configurations defining the foldable display smartphones of today, making them foundational for the industry. Lepton’s original 2010 / 2011 patent families continue to expand through continuation patents as Lepton also persists in developing entirely new prototypes and patent families that represent the future of the industry, with a portfolio of over 50 US and International patents.

The formation of Lepton Computing was inspired by some of the great American R&D institutions such as Xerox PARC and Bell Labs, and the inventions that were built there.
